Fall Dahlia and Heirloom Mum Subscription Available

We’re in the height of summer but as a flower farmer, thoughts and planning for fall is in full swing.

From planning and ordering cool flower seeds (what I call “secret flowers” … more info to come shortly) to cleaning and preparing planting beds, the work load doesn’t diminish …. but …. I can look forward to cooler working conditions!

I’ll be writing more about planning now to have EARLY spring flowers (tied to the opening of our Flower Club) but I wanted to send you a short email to let you know about our Fall Dahlia and Heirloom Mum bouquet subscription which is now live on the website.

Late summer/early fall are prime season for dahlias and this year we’ve expanded our dahlia patch to four 50’ rows - that’s a lot of dahlias. In addition, we’ve also expanded our heirloom mums collection. Heirloom mums are not your everyday, domed and potted mums that are ubiquitous in the fall. No! These are specialty cut flowers that come in a range of beautiful colors and form. Add eucalyptus to the mix and you have a sensory delight!

As a subscriber, you are guaranteed a total of 4 special bouquets. These bouquets will be available somewhere from early September (may be as early as late-August) to early November, and, you may receive one or two bouquets at any month, depending on production. As a small scale farmer, it’s hard to predict availability but we would want you to have the flowers at its best, and, your flexibility is appreciated!

A special bonus for early subscribers - we’ll include a free bouquet of eucalyptus with your first order if you subscribe by July 31. Fresh eucalyptus is unparalleled in its aromatherapy. Want your bathroom to smell like you’re in a spa? Just roll the eucalyptus with a rolling pin to release its oils and hang it near the shower. The steam from the shower will disperse and enhance this amazing fragrance.

I won’t have a lot of openings for this subscription … as an artisanal flower farmer, we don’t deal in large quantity, so don’t delay!
